Are you ready to light up the Christmas season? Experience the ultimate Christmas festivities in the heart of Gosport, a family-friendly event for all ages that's free. Gosport's Christmas Lights-Switch On 2023 aims to bring our community together for joy, entertainment and unforgettable festive memories!

Family-friendly fun and activities
Get creative and join us for 'Give It A Go' activities from 11am to 2pm, featuring a balloon artist, festive games and workshops. These free activities will be hosted at Gosport Museum and Art Gallery, Gosport Discovery Centre and Imagination Refinery.
Live entertainment
The main stage, sponsored by local full-fibre broadband provider toob, will host a variety of live entertainment throughout the day, including St John's School Choir, Big Noise Samba Band and Hampshire Music Services. Local opera singer Lucy Mellors and her pianist will take the stage with their 'faulty jukebox’ and make sure to catch live band The Spoils performing hits from across the decades!
Meet our wandering entertainers
As you stroll through the town centre, you’ll meet performers on the streets, including LED Angel Wings, the Apres Ski Hula Hooper, the Nutcracker and the Gosport Steampunk Society!
Congregation art exhibition
A first for the Gosport Christmas Lights Switch-On, there’ll be an incredible, large-scale arts experience. Congregation is an outdoor activity that everyone can participate in that will guide you to different parts of Gosport. People taking part will hold an interactive sonic sphere which will guide them to a location by making sounds, one sound for the correct direction and another for the wrong direction. Can you keep the sphere happy by going in the right direction? Congregation will happen three times throughout the day, and as night falls, don't miss the illuminated parade with participants carrying spheres beneath decorated umbrella lanterns.
